I've been using a cooler master psu for more than 6 months now and have never had a problem with it. If I remember correctly the cooler master psu's were rated as the best you cold buy by THG a year ago.

I think he meant if you want to risk sending in the wrong rebate to get more $$ back, not if you want to risk using this PSU.

After reading the Newegg Rebate form...no where on it does it say it has to be bought from Newegg..so, I bet it will fly!

The Newegg download does however have the Newegg item number on the rebate form.

I just got this PS hooked up and running. I'm a little pissed about how loud it is. The fan is turned up way to high and there's no way to turn it down that I can see. Reading the NewEgg reviews it seems that people either think it's whisper quiet or as loud as I think it is. Does anyone have any experience with this PS and an opinion on the noise level?

I've had two go through my place so far, and they've been quiet. Maybe there are different batches with different fans, or maybe it just depends on how much you have plugged into it.

Edit: BTW, that 600w Ultra in your signature made way more noise as far as I'm concerned.

Another thing, can you combine the rebate here with the one offered at ZZF? The OP's link also shows that there's a $30 rebate but the forms look almost identical. Neither of them say they are exclusively for any store. Anybody know the answer to this?
