Contemplating which CPU will be best value. I'm looking to overclock it.

Barton (333mhz, 512kb) 2800+: $93
Barton (266mhz, 512kb) 2600+ Mobile: $99
Barton (266mhz, 512kb) 2400+ Mobile: $77

So the basic question would be, should I start out faster/more expensive (2800+), or start out slower/cheaper and hope to OC it up as far as the 2800 would OC?

A 2400+ Mobile will most likely oc better then a 2800+ desktop. The 2600+ will (on average) oc better then both.

well if you go with the 2400+ look for the 35 watt version [1.35 volts] it should be the better overclocker
