I've just done the maths on the cpu's
2800+ 333 fsb is 13.5x166.6 (2249 true mhz)
2200+ 266 fsb is 13.5x133.3 (1800 true mhz)
Get the Thoroughbred B (2200) (if / when it comes out?!!) and run it @ 166.66 mhz on an nforce 2 board.
Seems to be 129$ for an Asus Nforce 2 board
and 140$ for the CPU (ASSUMING THEY RELEASE A THOROUGHBRED B VERSION!)
So 270$ US for basically top of the line performance, not bad really - plus you might be able to squeeze 170 or 175fsb from the ram / board / chipset / cpu - so that'd be a nice little setup really.
I'll keep my eye out for this one.
Finally my question........ - anyone know if Throroughbred B's will be coming in a 2200+ version?
