I liked the movie a lot. The image quality is one of the things I felt made it better.

Anyone asking why he didn't just arm himself with a lot of guns didn't reallt pay attention to the fact that this was set in the UK where the gun laws make that almost impossible.

Kanalua,

Although I can't quite say for sure but I would guess that the marking on the plane were Finnish since that is the language being spoken according to the trivia section on IMDB.

Well, I just saw this movie, and thought I'd resurrect a semi-dead thread. I liked it a lot. I agree to the people who say some of you didn't really pay attention to the movie all that much. Only England was infected, not the entire world. When they said New York and Paris were infected, it was only to their knowledge. The rest of the world basically lied to England because they didn't want it to spread anymore. I didn't go into this expecting a zombie shoot em all kill everything action movie, so maybe that is why I liked it.

it was ok, it could have done without all the man junk...

and i have trouble believing that 28 days of isolation would turn a platoon of soldiers into a bunch of would-be rapists.

What else made this movie so different from all the other zombie movies ? I'm trying to figure out if it went deeper than that. So while I now understand the NY/Paris vs. England thing,... what else kept it from being mindless ?

i haven't seen many zombie movies, but none of the ones i have seen have explored the whole "humans can be worse than real zombies/monsters" angle. i thought that was done very effectively in the end where jim goes on the rampage.

I thought the first half was great. The second half was ok, although the concept is interesting, but I found the rambo thing kinda chessy.
The virus only lasts 28 days. They started counting from the time they left the mansion.
Why would they lie initially in the broadcast that the virus had spread to Paris and NY?

I just want to know how that guy became a savage strong warrior. He was weak and in the hospital a couple days ago and now hes killing people with automatic machine guns. CMON!

Adrenaline.

Exactly. He wanted to save the woman. And he had eaten a lot of food and regained his strength, I would assume.

Yeah, I was wondering that too when I saw the movie. It was an ok movie but not worthy of the ratings it got on rottontomatoes.

I thought the people died from starvation?

I dunno....the zombies don't eat other people, so I guess they don't have any physical urge. They are simply aggressive, hence the name "rage" for the virus.

Starvation my ass.....

The zombies are too stupid to find & drink water. Plus they are constantly losing blood. They would dehydrate in 3 days at most.

In the theatre paying for it this movie sucks badly. However, it should be better on MST3K.

I guess everyone is entilied to their opinion. Notice in the opening credits it said "FOX SEARCHLIGHT" which means FOX has a company that produces independent films. This wasn't meant to be Bad Boys II or Terminator 3.

Anyways, I went into this movie not expecting anything, so I just watched it. I thought it was one of the best movies I've ever seen and definately one of the most disturbing. The shoddy camera work was great. The tension throughout it was also great. And the gore was just fantastic. I loved the story because the viewer only knew as much as the characters did, and they were in a state of helplessness throughout the whole thing.

All in all, I loved it!
