This movie is not about the zombie but human kind. Scary in the first 20 minutes, I love the scene of the EMPTY London streets. But the ending, is it supppsed to give us hope? No, I would rather like a doom end.

Just saw 28 Days Later right after seeing Finding Nemo. Good movie I thought (28 Days LAter). I liked the suspense, and how it wasn't your run of the mill teen horor flick.

*SPOILER*

Was the the UK just quarantined? I got that from seeing the plane flying over head...

Thought it ended really fast...great seeing those bastard infected guys starving at the end. The black soldier that was infected was the worst looking one of the bunch...

Yeah, just the UK was infected.

They said is was in New York city too, didn't they?

*SPOILER*

Yeah, so it does make you wonder. I think either the outside world (NY, Paris) was infected but they quarateened (sp?) them, or the other countries lied to the UK where it was the worst to keep people from trying to escape. I guess it is left up to the imagination, but what I took from it was that the outside world still exists in a normal or semi-normal way. They were probably infected but fought it off.

Nah, the implication by the emaciated zombies when the plane flew past was that the infected have basically starved and died off.

Not that place...the one that leaves the contrails in the sky when the dude was laying on his back, after escapeing the 42nd compound. Remember he looks up and sees a plane leaving contrails (those Art Bell lines in the sky). It hints that the rest of the world is fine, at least fine enough to continue overseas flights...and maybe just the UK is infected, quarantined byt he rest of the world...

Anyone cathc the military insignias of the jet at the end? Was the a UK jet, or French (Italian, Spanish, etc.)?

Right after he climbed over the wall escaping from the two soldiers, he fell to the ground and looked up and there was a jet.

Waste of my $8.50. It wasnt scary, it was so fake, and the ending was so horrible.

**Spoiler**
In the begining when he was walking down the street and saw all those newspaper, why the hell didn't he bother to read them?

How was it fake? I think if they would have ended it about 5 min earlier, it would have been great, but still not a bad ending by any means. Honestly, this is the best movie I've seen all year. I went with my dad and brother, and when we came out my brother and I were talking about how refreshing it was for a movie like this to be in theatres. My dad didn't like it, but his favorite movie right now is xXx so we don't pay much attention :p.

i watched it. it was terrible, quite possibly the worst movie i've ever seen in a theater.

the plane he seems when he climbs over the wall is the same one as later. thats how he knows that there are planes over head and that everyone is not infected.

i'd have to say, a movie where a bunch of retarded army guys get super horny after like 10 days of being alone (remember, they went to the super market and the fruit was still fresh meaning it was probably only a few days ago that all hell really broke loose)

Most 20 year olds are super horny anyway and if you throw a bunch into that situation were there are no repercussions for their actions I wouldn't be surprised if they acted that way. In just about every end of the world book or movie there is one of the first thing men do is try and get em some. Not all the men but the bad guys always do.

The guy promised them women so that they could actually have a future. Think about it, if you thought that you were going to be the very last human on earth, with no possibility for making something meaningful with your life, would you want to live? So he promised them women so that they wouldn't all just kill themselves.

The only fruit that was still fresh was the irradiated apples. Everything else was rotten and covered in mold.

Watching civilization around you crumble while your friends are being slaughtered has a tendency to screw with your mind. They seemed more "crazy" than horny, but yea one month is still not a long time.

(1) Jim never once fired the gun in the military base. (2) I can think of several scenes where Jim ran from the infected and various military personnel. He clubbed one guy to death, stabbed another with a bayonet, and stabbed some guy in the eyes with his fingers. Savage, maybe. Strong, nope. I guess the survival instinct will do that to a person.

Great flick. It makes zombies scary again. Then ending was a little crappy but all in all it's excellent.
