I finally decided to check it out, and it was one half-ass movie, and it looked like it was shot by a student at a community college. I have noticed this with forgein films/shows, they must use different cameras because they all have a generic look to them.

I didn't like it the first time I watched it, enjoyed it much better the second time for some reason.

I didn't like 28 Weeks later.

It was filmed in standard definition with a Canon camcorder on mini DV tapes. So of course it's going to look like crap. That was the idea.

I loved the movie, but the film (or lack of film) it was shot on made it look horrible, even on my HDTV.

I quite liked it. I enjoyed it more than the sequel, though I do own both.

28 Days and the Dawn of the Dead remake were two of my favourite horror/zombie movies from the last while.

it's a good thing they didn't guard that lady who just happened to be the only person to stay sane after contracting the disease... otherwise it might have made for a movie with a lot less craziness i.e. 28 weeks later

Yup was boring, and 28 weeks later was even worse, one of the few movies I couldnt sit through, got bored to death halfway and gave up

Random generic zombie movies must stop

I prefferred 28 Weeks over Days. Mainly because there was more Action and it was more focussed on the mayhem created by the Infected. 28 Days was pretty good though.

There's something about British movies(007 excluded) that just don't sit right with me though. Their hints at normal Life(like the shopping scene in 28 Days) seemed odd, but it's also the difference in Slang/Language that just doesn't quite "translate".

I enjoyed both but i liked the 1st one better. But again im not expecting an oscar winning movie when i see them. Just some mindless zombie fun/scare.

i liked Weeks better than Days.

towards the end, Days became more of, how can i fulfill my promise to let my soldiers hump ladies than about the zombies.

The scene were that little shitbox drove up and over those cars in the tunnel was the worst. And he main guy was just left in a hospital while everyone cleared out, no zombies got him?

What made 28 Days Later a good movie was the focus on the human drama. The zombie setting was just the method of conveyance.

He was kinda locked in there. I think someone knew to lock him in there for his protection. Or something.

I agree on the tunnel and the car. The coming zombies and the tire changing reminded me of the Monty Python/Holy Grail scene when the Knight charges the castle. Those fast moving zombies just seemed to take forever to move such a short distance. That whole scene was kind of irritating though. As I recall, the dude asks if they should go through the tunnel, everyone pretty much says No, but he goes anyway. WTF? That's just movies though.
