Wow way to be helpful. It cant be too hard of a fix. Any good, quick resources or information on this?

Vacuum leak, stuck throttle... for starters... is that FI or carb?

Thanks Skoorb - so in that case, yes, vacuum leak, plugged Idle air control valve, stuck throttle plate... those are the easy things to start with.

The FI injection systems on these cars are not like typical EFI systems you see on most cars. They are much more mechanical and finicky. It isn't as simple as it might appear. It probably doesn't even have lambda (feedback) control.

Hmm. Should i be worried?

I have at least 1K to burn on repairs. The interior and exterior are immaculate. Great rims, 25% tread on tires. All repairs i will be doing will be performed by my father with me helping. He was an Army mechanic in Germany and Korea, so he knows how to fix vehicles quite well.
