27" TV question

TV Question...
I am looking between 2-3 27" TVs..
The models are the JVC AV-27020/AV-27120, and the Panasonic CT-27D10.
Both are $350, and on sale for an extra 10% off tomorrow morning.. so I kinda need to know now 🙂

The Panasonic has S Video and component..and the JVC's both have S Video
I think the Panasonic has 600? lines of resolution, while the JVC has 550. It may seem pretty obvious which is better, but I have heard the JVCs recommended here.

I think I'm going to go with the Panasonic, good deal, and looks like the best TV under 400 bucks

As a home theatre salesperson, I find JVC products a mixed bag in terms of build quality. The TVs are really good, but the VCRs are big problem at the tech bench (we get a lot of them in for repairs). Panasonic on the other hand, while not always delivering the absolute best picture and sound quality, has consistently made high-quality products.

I'd personally take the Panasonic; it's a better value. You can use the component video inputs to give you the best possible picture with a DVD player (or even a PS2, it supports interlaced [480i] component video out with the optional cable).

Doesn't Sears sell Hitachi? (They do here in Canada). They have some great units, and the higher end models in the 27-32" line even have a 15 pin video cable connector, for use with your Home Theater PC, in conjuction with your S-video and component. Component of course, will give you the best pic possible with your equipment.
