Not sure if this is hot or a repost, but Circuit City has the Sony 27" Trinitron WEGA for $349.99 shipped (ripped from *slippery deals). I haven't tested at checkout (online) but I'm pretty sure you'll have the option to do an in-store pickup. Only my second post but I hope this'll benefit someone.

UPDATE: BestBuy is selling this model for $350 - 10% making it $315 B&M ONLY!!! (If your local B&M isn't selling this for $350, PM to CC and get the 10% too, hopefully)

Yeah, the fs200 also has component video inputs. I'm not sure if the fs100 on circuitcity.com does. Good deal though, Best Buy is selling it for $50 more.

Find out how long this sale is good for and then wait to see if you get a 10% coupon from best buy. That's how I purchased my Sony Wega 27" fs210 for only $395 a week before christmas.

yeah it does. just standard components though, not hd components (of course). i know this, because this is the exact same set i go to sleep to every night. ;)

also, ripped from sony style:
Inputs and Outputs Component Video Input (Y/Pb/Pr): 1 Rear
Component Video Inputs (Y/Pb/Pr) delivers optimum picture quality by supplying separate connections from luminance (Y), blue color difference (Pb) and red color difference (Pr). Ideal for DVD players and digital television (DTV) set top receiver/decoders.

Anybody have the SU-27FS1 (tv stand)?

I'm thinking about picking this set up but the rinky dink stand my busted old tv is on now looks like it's about to fall apart. $120 seems pretty high - any better ideas?

EVEN BETTER DEAL... but YMMY

So I went to BestBuy tonight.. I figured I'd just get the Wega for $349 (PM to CC) or an open box item or something else. It turns out BB regular price is $429... but they had the Wega on sale for $399. Well, I actually went to two BBs. The second one had it on sale for $349! I guess they caught CC's sale and PMed their sales price (they do this every so often).

So, long story short... they ALSO had their 10% off $299 promo going on. SO I got a $429 TV for $314.xx + tax. I had $230 in returned gifts credit, and $40 from my RewardZone membership. So I paid $70 out of pocket. Not bad for a Sony Wega.

i have the SU-27FS1 stand for my 27" FS100, and i like it. was easy to set up, good space inside for my dvd player and receiver, and i like the little snaps on the top of it, so the tv locks onto the stand, its connected. so, its on the stand pretty damn sturdy. the price is a little high though, so i dont know, maybe someone will chime in with a cheaper alternative.

I have an All in Wonder 9700 Pro. How Good/Bad would the output from a PC be on this TV? I would like to use this with my XPC (that I'm rebuilding soon) in the living room. I would like to avoid having a TV and a seperate monitor if possible.
Could this WEGA TV make it as a monitor?
What Resolution could I expect?
What cable would be best, the S-Video, or the YPbPr cable (purchased seperatly from ATI)?

This one of course. Sony Trinitron Projection Tube = better than whatever Toshiba uses

And we own both a 32" Trinitron and 55" Toshiba

I have this television with an ATI Radeon 8500 AIW. This is not and HDTV so it will only handle about 800x600. I am currently using S-Video, but I suppose component would be a little better.

I bought this tele for around $425, so $350 is an awesome deal. The enhanced wide-screen mode is nice as well.

I got it in southern california for $314.xx + tax as well.

I had to haggle a bit so that they would give me 10% without that Best Buy Credit Card thing.

Plus I had to pricematch it to another store because of the Costa Mesa one still had the $399.00 sticker pric

hmm I recall that the FS series is usually the low end right? Cuz I remember having to spend a crapload more just to get the stupid FV...

And then what I really wanted was the XBR anyway.

Oh well
