27" LED LCD Monitor w/ 120hz Refresh Rate

I'm on the market for a new monitor. Was wondering if any experts here know of any available or upcoming monitors that has:

1. LED Backlit
2. 120hz refresh rate
3. Matte screen
4. 27" or higher
 
All the 120hz models are 1680x1050 and 1920x1080 23.6" max. There are no plans by anyone (that I have come across) to go bigger or higher rez than this at this stage.

actually there are plans for an ASUS 27 inch 120Hz 1920x1080 monitor. PG276H is the model number if you want to look up more info.

😎 Nice, didn't see that. It appears to have been delayed however 🙁, heres hoping it arrives soon.
 
i assume money no object? 😉

i'd love to get an Acer GD235HZ (23.6" 120hz 1920x1080) but i've read some reviews saying it has bad colors and ghosting so i'm hesitant.
 
Waiting for Panels. No one else is making panels bigger then 23.6, so gotta wait for the factories to pump them out. The PG276H is suppose to be around $500 give or take.

Right now I think the smaller 23.6 Asus is the best 120hz out right now, LG is a good one too.
 
We're running a 65" Mitsu LaserVue here for over a year now for stereoscopic 3D dev, it's working OK.

It was a bit pricey but didn't have option back then - now I'd just get a 1080p 3D LCD HDTV as they all run at 120Hz anyway.

PS: didn't check if they have it in your size range (27-30") but I remember seeing a 32" 1080p 3D LCD HDTV from either Panasonic or Samsung...

Well me personally, 1920x1080 res is too big. I use 2304x1440@80hz now, I will never downgrade my resolution.

Soo I have to get a 999 dollar Apple 27 inch with 2560x1600res.

But with vsync on, is there any lag in this particular monitor or any others.. or is 2ms enough, where you can turn on vsync and play FPS games and its smooth and not laggy,,,,

The PC monitors are, yes. There are only a few models available and have the size and resolution limitations mentioned above.

TV panels are completely hit or miss when they advertise 120 or 240hz (more like completely miss). They are usually still taking a 60hz input and inserting blank frames or similar to achieve a 120hz+ output.
 
Ok thanks, i remember reading about 120Hz monitors interpolating frames from a normal 60Hz input or something. Good to know they're actually making progress in this area, gaming on a 60Hz LCD can never measure up to over 100 Hz on a CRT when it comes to smoothness in motion.
 
FAIL, 120hz TV's do not accept true 120hz DVI PC input.

He specified a 3D TV which all should accept true 120hz. The 3D TVs are quite different then the regular 120Hz or 240Hz TVs that they have been making for years.

I would be overjoyed if you could point out one single 3d or otherwise TV that can take a true 120hz PC signal.

5. 1920x1200. it is relly a considerable difference



but don't sit on your butt, tell the manufacturers what you want

Looks like even at 1.4a HDMI cant do 1080p at 120hz "HDMI 1.4a requires that 3D displays support the frame packing 3D format at either 720p50 and 1080p24 or 720p60 and 1080p24, side-by-side horizontal at either 1080i50 or 1080i60, and top-and-bottom at either 720p50 and 1080p24 or 720p60 and 1080p24"

Ignoring what? Can you provide a screen shot of a PC hooked up to one of those TV's showing it running at 1080P 120hz (that HDMI apparently cant support) Because I would be pretty darn happy if you could.

None of those TVs are LCD. Their all forms of DLP, much like CRT, which can support 120hz signals.

There are no LCD/Plasmas Flat Panels out right now that can support 120hz input signals like a Monitor can.
