Just what I am looking for. Now if only I can sell my Famous Maker 24" monitor 😀

If it's any encouragement, about a month ago I sold my Dell 24" monitor on the FS/FT forum and bought my Panasonic TC-L32S1, which has an IPS panel. After shipping and paypal fees, I wound up only spending $80 on swapping between the two. I was lucky that the Dell 2408wfp still draws a decent price.

It was definitely the right choice for me. While the Panny doesn't display colored font as well as the Dell, and I'll need to go through some calibration (possibly with a colorimeter) to get it as accurate as the Dell, none of that matters since my main goal was an immersive gaming experience. At 64% larger than the 24", the 32" definitely fits the bill 🙂.

Thanks kalrith. I got a quote from a Dell representative for their 2209WA and they can sell it for $220 + Tax + CA Recycle fee. Should I spring for that instead? Decisions, decisions. I don't game anymore, and I mainly edit photos.

The Dell 2209WA is an excellent monitor. If you're fine with the size and resolution, then that's a great choice. I think it would be hard going from a 24" to a 22" and even harder to go from 1920x1200 to 1680x1050, because I'd be missing the screen real estate like crazy. I even find myself missing screen real estate after going from 1920x1200 to 1920x1080. However, I have a second monitor, so I have plenty of extra room with which to work.

The DoubleSight does look good. I personally felt the IPS panel was more important to me though.
I ended up picking up a Panasonic TC-L32S1 for $449 at 6ave.com with the couponcode:BONUSBUY
Its more than it was a few months back but this was almost $70 cheaper than Amazon and the rest of the places.
