27.20's...

apparently they are 27.00 drivers on windows update...according to m3dzone....but when i go to the site it tried to "downgrade" my 23.11 set to 21.83...odd :\

The 27.20's are also out for win9x for those who are interested. Anyone know how to get rid of that stupid desktop control icon that is on the desktop. You can't delete it, and i don't use it at all.

Got my Gainward GF3 ( Red PCB looks sweet )... and it is running stable finally.

Installed Fresh Installation of XP.. went fine.

Installed the Detonators 23.12.. got lockups. installed 27.10's .. same thing. Finally installed 27.20's and now running stable.

OC it to 215/490 .

Got a 3DMark2001 score of 5589..

apparently u gotta remove the current driver then install the new one.
i'm usin the 23.11 at the mo and they work best 4 me
gainward gf3 golden sample 240/540

With the 2 7.20's I dropped my frame rate about 30% in 3DMark2001. And I cant complete the Benchmark
It drops out and goes to desktop.

I had that same problem.

That is why I went back to previous drivers but than I remembered I had fast writes enabled in the bios... turned them off and 3Dmark2001 did not crash with 27.20's.

I'm with Sudheer Anne, how do you get rid of that "Desktop Explorer" icon and what does it do anyway? If I double click on it it goes into IE and gives me the "This page cannot be displayed" error. Cant we just get rid of it?

To get rid of the Desktop Explorer icon, go to Control Panel/Display/Settings/Advanced/Geforcexx/Additional Properties/Desktop Utilities and uncheck the "Enable Desktop Manager" box.

I ran them but ran into problems with DVD playback. They did seem a bit faster in Serious Sam at 1600x1200x16 though on my GF2 GTS.
