I guess your all wondering what i learned from this little exercise; I have no use for a notepad file full of prime number 🙂.

Give us some runs @ stock + ~3.8 - 4.0ghz plz.

7 second super pi is no joke but it'd be nice to have some frame of reference.

For reference, my i5-2500k @ 4.2 does 1M in around 8.8 seconds. At 4.7 GHz it does 1M in around 8 seconds even. So, an i7 @ 5.5 gains another 1.3 seconds in SuperPi 1M.

From a run in the past, my fastest was 9.59 @ 4300mhz i5 750
..... I don't think I've seen any/many put 1.58 to Lynfields.

You would think a quad core IB will have a stock of around 3.8 and turbo of ~4.3

I'm more interested in what the hex cores do.

I thought IB was going to be the refresh of Gulftown (plus quad channel memory etc.). Guess I'll be googling IB today.
And yes, they better be at the kind of frequency if BD pans out as planned (we'll see).

Ivy Bridge is Sandy Bridge on 22nm...

they may throw in some improvements too (and more GFX EUs).
