I just got my Mobile yesterday and it cant hit 200FSB and is only stable at 185FSB x 12.5 at 1.725Vcore. Im thinking it was my MB so I checked the BIOS and it is already at the lastest update so Im a bit confused. My previous MB was able to do 200FSB with the same memory but I just got it back from replacement RMA and it cant hit 200 anymore without it crashing.

.....Some people are lucky and some NOT so lucky when they RMA boards.

I RMAd my A7N8X-E board that topped out at 200FSB and got back an A7N8X-E board that easily does 225FSB.

😛 My advice would be to either RMA the board (again) or mod the Northbridge Vdd.

Well Farcry only crashes when Im at 200FSB and show massive artifacts right before the PC reboots so its definately not the MS patch. Reason for not installing the SW patch was to see if it helped with some other problems I had but right now I have a fresh install of XP with the drivers and I have to say this is the best install of XP I ever had. Got a replacement disc from MS cause my other had a crack in it.

Darn!
I heard there was some reason to prefer the Rev. 2 NF7-S over previous versions.
Now, your saying to stay away from the Rev. 2 board?

Weird aint it? I still want to get an NF7-S though.

To the OP, I have a v1.04 board as well, and, in my experience, the bios you use can make a big difference in how your oc goes. I suggest that you try bios 1004, 1006, and 1007, and see which gives you the best oc. I found 1006 to be best for me, but many are still using 1004. HTH, let me know how it goes. Good luck. Peace.
