2600+ & ECS K7VTA3 89.99 @ Fry's

Sorry if this is a repost, but I searched for Fry's and 2600+ and found nothing.

latimes.com has the weekend Fry's ad up and they have a 2600+ (bare) & ECS mobo for 89.99. I called the Austin, TX Fry's and they have the same deal. The Austin store told me it was a Barton. Not super hot, but not bad considering newegg has this for 82.

NOTE: I edited this to reflect the correct mobo, ECS K7VTA3

I pick one up today, I need it for a cheap computer I am building for someone, works for me.

It is a Barton Chip, pretty good deal. At least Fry's had a pallet full of the motherboards.

The Irving, TX Fry's sucks ass :| They had a few combos but I definitely didn't see that one. I still kick myself for missing the nForce combo they had a few months back.

BTW, first time in that store - pretty nice. I had been to the one in Mesquite and the Irving one blows that one away.

Irving should have the 2600+ and K7VTA3 for $99. they also had the 2200+ and same board for $49 earlier, but they probably only had 20...

They have that board with AMD processors almost every week. They must get those things for $1 each or something. I almost got the 2200+ deal, but I have a 2200+ right now that does 2.4ghz and I wanted something with more on die cache. I am going to try and get up to austin tomorrow to grab one of the 2600's.

which version of the k7vta3 are they carrying now. the one they had during winter break was v8.0, but my friend recently got v6.0. know what the difference is?

I purchased one at the Austin, Texas store for $99.00. The processor was a 2600+ Retail.
I did not see any OEM combos for $89.00

V6 of the board uses the KT333CE northbridge while V8 uses the KT333CF.
