Thanks rebthor. These should be good enough for a system I'm building for someone.

Just ordered 2 sticks. This w/ the MSI KT7 Raid board and the 1 GHZ 266 FSB T-bird I ordered should give me a hell of a system.

I built my system with MSI K7T Pro-2A. I already have 256 MB. Does this memory work with it? 256 MB I have is 2x128 DIMM ValueRam. What would be performance impact?

Update(3pm, Apr.16): I double checked my RAM. It actually says "ATI" on a white label. This could be the brand. I can only read there's a series of numbers on the RAM chips and no name at all printed on the chips.

I got 2 pieces of 256Mb PC133 SDRAM from an order. There's no name printed on the RAM chips so I can't tell what brand they are. I asked my friend to test the RAM for me to see if they works (at least). They *work* with my friend's AMD (probably Duron) system. No overclocking. However, the RAM got a bit warm to touch after testing. The test just involves some normal operations/use. This makes me want to put some RAM sink for these RAM. :)

I hope this would help if anyone tries to get cheap PC133 SDRAM. Maybe I will let you all know more about these RAM.

The .pdf file says it only works with Via Apollo 133A chipsets and certain AMD760 boards
no mention of KT133 :(

This RAM works on both the ASUS A7V and MSI Pro2A mobos. I've bought these 64x4 chips from them before. Unfortunately, the last three DIMMs that I ordered from them, I had to RMA them back because they didn't work on these two boards. UPS shows that they received it on April 4th. I called UpGrPl on the 9th and they confirmed that these DIMMs were defective and told me that they were semding out replacements, probably that day. Today (16th), I called and they said that they will ship out today and that I will receive a UPS shipment notification (like I usually do). The CSR said that they usually try to turn around an RMA request within 5 working days. If they ship them out today, turnaround time would have been 8 days. That's a little slow. You'd figure that they would try to get it out to you as fast as possible since they sent you defective merchandise. Guess that I'll have to wait and see.

I got a stick of this ram from the other thread, and my motherboard is compatible (MSI-6167), but ever since I installed I've been infrequently getting random reboots (every few days). This is *not* the highest quality ram in the world, people -- you'll be getting what you pay for.

One of my 600 Duron used to run at 9.5x100 with PC100. With this no name RAM, it's running at 8.5x133. This W2K machine has been up for over 2 weeks now, without any reboot. It works with my A7V, K7T Pro2A and KK266.

Yugpatel,

My profile's up. Sorry, I never knew that it wasn't visible. No one has ever said anything about it before. Just got an autoreply for UPS, my memory is supposed to be here on Thursday. Hey by the way, I was in Cape Canaveral for Easter Weekend. Titusville is a hop, skip and a jump away from there.
