256MB DDR PC2100 $64.95 @ Outpost

I bought two sticks of this memory from Outpost, and, it works in the Soyo 1700xp combo I bought from the same company. I'm going to try it in the ECS I have in my other system. I'm sure it will work, but, not positive.

I ordered two of these last Friday and rec'd yesterday (2 day delivery). Excellent service but I am less than pleased with the memory. I rec'd two different brands and different memory configs.

One uses "Hynix" RAM chips and is a double sided DIMM with 8 chips per side.

The other is uses "Lei" RAM chips and is a single sided DIMM with 8 chips. There is a "Legacy Electronics, Inc." sticker on the DIMM . Printed on each RAM chip is the following:

Lei
LED32808TA-7.5
0206
(comment - probably the lot number)
32Mx8 SDRAM-8-T

Both DIMMS are being sold as DDR 256MB 2100 32X64 266MHz Unbuffered.

I am considering returning it to get two matched pairs. Should I be concerned?

Thanks, Mac

"Compatible with most Pentium II, Pentium PRO, Pentium II PRO, Pentium III CPUs as well as Cyrix M6, AMD K7, and Anthlon processors. "

Umm, slap me around, but DDR only works with Athlon, Duron and Pentium3 and 4 processors...right?

should be nanya branded chips...i just bought some from frys...it is stable but i am not about overclockability...my computer crashes at 140 fsb or gives blue screen errors. not sure if it ram related.

will this work on a system board w/ the following mem support??

Memory sockets: two 184-pin DDR DIMMs for up to 1GB SDRAM

seems like it to me

<< do you guys think ram prices are coming back down again?? >>

I hope they come back down, I didn't stock up when prices were low before.
