CompUSA has 256mb DDR 2100 $14.99 ($44.99 - $30MIR). The sku comes up as $79.99 regular price yet the CompUSA flyer says $44.99 regular price so I'm not sure on this. Mind you, the way memory prices are plummeting, the flyer may be correct.

Can confirm this deal. Just picked it up in-store. When I asked for it by the SKU their wasn't any behind the counter, so the rep looked it up on the computer, said it's showing in stock but he doesn't know where it is. Called a manager over and the manager said it's in the back 'cause it's going on sale tomorrow. They asked if I wanted to come back tomorrow and I asked if I could buy it today and bring it back during the week for the price adjustment. Manager said no problem. The rebate is for $30 and is actually good from 3/15 thru 3/20.

This is branded as CompUSA memory but it is made by PNY. Actually, it's packaged by PNY since PNY normally repackages memory from other memory manufacturers. So you may want to look for sticks with Samsung chips and PCB.

The rebate is also paid by PNY and is handled by Parago/RebatesHQ. You might have a problem if you purchase this RAM and the PNY GF4 Ti4200 video card or other PNY products with a rebate. They like to put a lot of PNY rebates on one form and then deny all but the lowest dollar rebate. CompUSA doesn't tell you this in their ad.

@%$& PNY/Parago. I sent in a memory rebate to them three months ago. Two weeks ago I finally hear from them: "Sorry, there was no valid UPC included. Resubmit with valid UPC for processing." Me: "I can't resubmit you dill-holes, I already sent it to you." Them: "Our records show your rebate was denied because you failed to submit a valid UPC. You may resubmit a valid UPC to..."
I'm not sure if they're just stupid or just screwing with me. :( And YES, the UPC was included. I always check before sealing the envelope I usually do a number of rebates at the same time.

Haha I also get that crap from them too. I try explaining to them, but we end going in circles with our email conversations.

We've also heard that before, and now that I think about it, what about getting a couple video tapes, and videotape yourself at the mailbox putting all the stuff into the envelope, and stuffing it in the mailbox...there's the proof :D

How does this "copy everything" work? If thy want you summit UPC, they want orginal one, copies will not do.

He means copy all of the rebate documents (e.g. completed regate form, UPC and receipt) before you send the originals.

Thats what i do, staple the UPC to the freaking rebate claim. If they lose it, then there is something suspicious about these furfillment center.

Very simple, you go to a copy place like Kinkos and xerox everything, the UPC, rebate claim and the receipt. Or you can do my way (becuz im lazy), get a digital camera and give your rebate claims a photoshoot!!!!!!!!!!

No thanks, my PC2700 256mb x 2 is on the way for 47.80 shipped within 7 days :D Just love online ordering. I rather pay less now then wait 4-6 week to save. That's alot of patient that some ppl have, and some rebates are fake! :(
