Elixir is Taiwan made chip not that much unknown as you might think. It is low end and you should not expect to be able to run 166x2 Mhz but it should perform PC 2100 as expected, meaning you should be able to get what you payed for.
Overclockers.co.nz tested TwinMOS with Elixir chip runing at 2-2-2 at 152 and 2.5-3-3 at 166.
You can consider that as good though that is not a top quality brand. If you want to run PC 2700 you should look for the top quality PC 2100 brand or simply buy PC 2700.

Update for my ram. Its now at DDR 400 @2.6V 100% stable. Just check my sig for details in Sandra membench.

I got a B0. It does 266Mhz just fine. It didn't like my Crucial DIMM, though. I had to switch around memory to get it to work.
Apparently every one of these chips is good but if you want PC 2700 performance hunt for Samsung and Infineon. As Lizardman says if you want even more go for Samsung and don't care much about what the last four letters on the chip are, they are all good.
apparently my system doesn't like my stick with samsung chips...anyone with a soyo k7ada v1.0 out there get it to work?
At my Best Buy they had 7 or 8 sticks left...they had one of Samsung on Samsung, TCB0 
I went to CompUSA and the first two boxes the guy handed me were Samsung on Samsung, TCB0 so I bought 2x 128MB sticks for a total of 512MB...I can't wait till my mobo comes in, then it's o/c'ing time!

hmm, if i buy one at bb, one a cc, and one at compusa can i get all the reabtes? i'm not sure about compusa, but the cc and bb both go to teh same place...
Just bought 1 stick at Circuitcity (PMed to bestbuy) plus they had the $20 rebate so I got it for 29.99. At circuit city all the ram that was in blister packs was elixir, but there was one stick in a retangular box package; it was a samsung B0. Then went to BB and got another B0. Rebates go to the same place, so looks like i'm going to have to get them sent to different addresses. While I was at Bestbuy I heard some employee complaining to his boss about how some guy (AT Reader perhaps?) came in and returned ram and wanted to exchange one stick "for another one with this exact part number on the chips" He said the guy wanted him to look through each stick and look at the part number. Luckily I got a B0 samsung chip on the first one.

I got a link in my e-mail to Parago to check on my rebate and it stated the rebate as $15 not $20, which it showed on the printed out rebate form from BB. They asked me to resend a copy of the form which I did by e-mail. Talked to a supposed supervisor 'Jose Marte' and he said that their info showed only $15 for the DDR 2100. So check your rebates and call if you have a problem.

My rebate status is showing up on http://www.rebateshq.com as a $15 MIR instead of the $20 MIR originally advertised by Best Buy, as Antmanbee mentioned earlier. What a fraud!!

After calling RebatesHQ and resending the BBuy rebate form as an e-mail attachment they updated the amount to the correct ammount.
A friend just informed me that his rebate is for the wrong amount too.
So check your status and call in to get it corrected.

Let's see... assuming they sold about 5000 of these nationwide, PNY just saved themselves $25,000 by withholding $5 from each rebate. I hope that's enough to pay the lawyers when the FTC comes after them, because that's where I'm going to complain to next.
Best Buy also has a corporate customer complaint number you can call: 1-800-369-5050 (option 4). I hope many of our forum readers will call BB and let them know what we think of PNY's dirty rebate trick.

I read the entire thread waiting to read about Corsair Ram, however, it never came up. Is that because it's too expensive or??? I thought it was the best?
Got my rebate today.
$15 though. I called Best Buy and the rep was very nice.
He connected me thourgh PNY and the PNY rep had me fax over a copy of the forms.
We'll see what happens.

Guys, does the rebate end today? Bestbuy.com removed it from their site?? I thought if I purchased today, it would be covered? Can someone send me the rebate?
