256 + 512

Ok. I have 256MB of PC2700DDR ram. I am probably going to get 512mb more of it. How much of a performance boost will it give me? I play games.. SimCity 4.. Counter-Strike.. CNC Generals.

CNC Generals and SC4 really slow my PC down when I close the game.. and sometimes lag a little in the game.. and I have been told it was because I had the minimum ram.

you should be able to tell a difference for sure.

Yeah you will see a huge difference. Nowadays 256MB of ram is complete minimum, so anything you add will let you see a nice difference.

256 + 512 will be much better than just 256 or 512 by itself. Go for it. 🙂

Yeah, You'll notice it for sure. Especially when you close out games and it just snaps back to the desktop. I noticed a big boost when I went from 256 to 512.
