I just bought a A2400 case upgrade for my Thermaltake Armor Case. I noticed that the fan is really small(EDIT: 'QUIET' not 'small') but puts out 65 CFM ish. I was wondering if there are any 250MM Case fans that would fit the a2400 case upgrade that can produce more CFM. :p anyone have any suggestions

Uh, 250mm is huge! Most people use 80 or 120mm. 65 CFM is good output.

Did you buy the new side panel with the 250mm fan in it?..if so that thing is freakin huge!! I may be mistaken but it may be the biggest side panel fan one can get.. I have the new side panel and 250mm fan on my case.

The A2400 is the door with the 250mm fan - that is NOT a small fan. I don't think that fan is limited to 900rpm. Perhaps they added a dropping resistor in there somewhere.

A 250mm fan is about the size of a regular-sized paper plate (to give some reference). I have a Enermax Chakra that has a 250mm fan on its side.

Ummmm. WTH do you think is big then(for a case fan anyway)? Unless you want to put a "slightly larger" Vornado High Velocity fan(sp?)? Or maybe a commercial grade high velocity drum blower that can very well make a 1 year old fly(I have one BTW, 320watts on low speed and 380 watts on high speed, this baby dwarfs my entiire computer desk)? But seriously you think thats small?

I don't think they make a lot of models of that fan and at least one of them can do 150 CFM... I think there'd be a bit of a problem getting that much air out of the case. One case that uses it has a wide open grill on the panel where rear fans would normally be to let the air escape.

See the XClio A380 spec sheet - I think the fans in that are rated at 150CFM each, but I have no idea where you can get them separately. I have heard that the 25cm fans we see are an Enermax design but I've had no independent confirmation.

I don't see the 250mm there, please link. I do see the Enermax 120mm Enlobal fan there, but lots of people are havin trouble with them.

Well, they did have it in stock. Maybe they pulled it? I'll have to go look and see. Also, I havent heard of any of these 250mm problems. What problems are people having? I'm curious as to what they are.

It seems the only 250mm fans Performance-PCs have in stock are the side panels for the Tt Armor & Kandalf cases. However they do offer a modified Lian Li G70 case with a 250mm side fan. My advice is to call them and find out if they sell those fans or if they can tell you where they buy them from.

Enermax is the latest manufacturer to offer the 250mm fan in a case (Chakra) but I heard it was Clio that first started using them in cases. Not sure who exactly manufacturers the 250mm fans. probably the same company that makes them for all the case manufacturers.

I wonder if the makers of that case thought about the side effects of positive pressure, 300cfm coming in but very little going out. You're basically heating up all of the components in the case since the air isnt being exhausted fast enough.

Thats whats nice about the Enermax Chakra. Its 250mm fan can be used for intake or exhaust via a switch. It can also be turned off. I wonder if those XClio's have that function on the side fan? Didnt look like it did but I didnt read too deep into the specs.
