just installed a new maxtor 250 gb sata hd, and even when idle it gets almost too hot to touch. my 2 wd 120gb and 180gb ata drives only get slightly warm. on diskcheckup and hddtemp it shows the maxtor around 52-53 on idle and when transferring alot of data it hits 55c!!
is this normal...wth is going on?
my cpu doesn't even get close to these temps.
all drives are 7200rpm.
do i have a faulty drive or does anyone else with a maxtor 250gb sata have the same temps?
