2500 houses in Detroit for 10k or less..

Looks like everyone here is on the same page, but if their football team was worth a damn you might get some bites

I could put like a 50% downpayment on that. Wow, this is seriously tempting.

But I'd have to live in Detroit. Canada is my home land and I'm staying here.

But damn. That house would be like 300k here, if more.

Mind you Detroit is not that bad, I went there to see a Nascar race, was fun.

Heck, I can buy this cash + fully furnish it.

Seriously, this is tempting. I don't even need a job, my adsense account will pay the bills.

That is indeed sad. It's not THAT bad here, but it isn't good either. That's part of the reason I don't have a better job now: no one wants to build new shit when old shit is being torn down or not selling.

I wouldn't buy a house in Detroit unless it came with Clint Eastwood to guard the property. Even then, he's good for taking out only 1 gang.

I could see a nascar fan jumping on that though, that's like a dream come true, only a few miles away from the track.

Though it's also sad, as it shows how many people lost their job. How many layoffs has there been so far anyway? I'm guessing it's way in the thousands in the car industry alone.

DO NOT BUY.

You would get raped and robbed the first night you stayed there. I drive down the lodge every day and by these homes sometimes during lunch just to see how shitty they are. Many of these homes have huge holes in their roofs, boarded up doors and windows, etc. Also, many of the blocks have had the homes torn down from fires (people used to burn them because the abandoned homes were crack/rape houses). You can drive through and see an entire city block with only a single house on it and weeds/etc on all of the other lots. These homes are the true depiction of ghetto.

Some of these houses are all brick - 2000-3000 sqft. I bet they had to be quite the nice house back in the 50s when they were built. It really is surreal driving through there, such potential and such huge homes, but they are all boarded up, rape, gang, and shit garbage everywhere.

That house would be close to a million bucks in the Bay Area CA. Hmmm, heres an idea to stimulate Michigan, uproot all the houses, transport them to CA, charge stupid bay area losers $$$$$$$$ for them, profit. You can easily undercut the locals pricing by half and still make huge profit.

Wonder what the condition of the house is though, there's probably a reason there's no additional pictures.

lol

Here is what the house looks like in street view.

Oh, and check out your neighbors across the street.

I used to spend a lot of time in that area. Not the worst by far.

You want bad? Go east, closer to the river or up to Seven Mile.

btw-there is more than one $1,000,000+ house in Detroit proper.

What a shithole. That whole city needs to be nuked and rebuilt. Well, maybe not nuked, but carpet or fire bombed.

From orbit preferably.

You wouldn't be able to hear the screams from orbit. What fun would that be?
