Hey,
I recently ordered a refurbished 2500+ Barton from Newegg. The mobo I wanted to put this in only has a 266 mhz FSB. But, I figure no problem, they're suppose to be backwards compatible, it'll still run, and I can keep the chip for when I do upgrade mobos. So put the chip in and manage to get it to boot. But on the boot screen. It shows up as an Athlon XP 1466 Ghz. Um... That doesn't seem right. Even though I'm running a 266mhz FSB, shouldn't it be a TAD bit higher than that? Am I missing something, or is this a RMA? Thanks...
