hey, i posted the other day about how my hd messed up after i got my mobo replaced, well i recovered the my files from my c drive but its a 250 gig hd partitioned into 4 drives, however it only shows one of 32 gig and i tried putting windows on it but i get errors, even after formatting it wont work. anyways now its acting like a normal harddrive except

1- i cant get a bootable windows from it and
2- i want my 250 gig hd, not a 32

??

Check your jumpers on the hard drive. There's usually a "32GB clip" somewhere. Make sure that's not set.

Also, make sure you are formatting as NTFS. WinXP won't allow you to create a FAT32 partition over 30GB.

always did ntfs, and i tried different jumpers, now i got it back to normal other than i can only see a 32 gig drive, its like the rest of the 250 is gone.... oh well i guess
