25% off used video games at Blockbuster Video (PS2, Xbox, Gamecube, N64)

This is my first hot deal posting, so I hope I'm doing this right. I searched for other Blockbuster threads and didn't find this post.
Blockbuster has 25% off used video games until the end of the Month (or maybe the first week in June). I think the promo also applies to movies, but I'm not sure. The Blockbusters I went to had a lot of PS2 games and a few Xbox, N64, and Gamecube games.
Bloodwake (XBox) - Was $29.99, paid $22.50
Simpsons Road Rage (PS2) - Was $24.99, paid $18.74
Unreal Tournament (PS2) - Was $14.99, paid $11.25
WWF Wrestling (PS2) - Was $14.99, paid $11.25

It does apply to movies, both tape and DVD. I bought Sexy Beast and Zoolander and also rented a movie all for $24. They have some pretty good titles, but I'm sure they vary from store to store. It's definetly worth chcking out.

My local BB stores aren't running the 25% deal on the games, but all pre-owned movies are 25% off the sticker price. I picked up a mint cond. copy of Spy Game for $11 earlier. Woohoo!

What area stores are actually having the video game deal? I checked my local Blockbusters (Southgate, Taylor MI) and they are only doing DVD's and such. Anybody in the Detroit area find a store with 25% off games?

I think this is definitely a regional thing. At my local BB (CT), they didn't even have the 25% thing on videos.

This deal started about 2 Tuesdays ago I believe. All 4 BB's in my Orlando area are participating.

They have the 25% off here, but it's off MSRP or something because the Simpsons Road Rage was $30

This is a national deal and it lasts through June 4, 2002. Also, NEVER go by the sticker on the case...I've seen many games priced $15-$25 ring up at $10-$15 before the discount. Also, they have to honor the price and give you the discount if the sticker on the game is lower than what rings up. This is how we got Maximo for $7.50 even though it rang up for $24.99 (sticker on the case said 9.99).

I checked Blockbusters in both College Station, TX and Dallas. Both stores had games and movies 25% off.

As ericb said, the prices vary from outside of box to inside. I had a game ring up $5 less on the inside than the outside.

I checked our local blockbuster and they did have the 25% off on games and movies. My daughter wanted Super Smash Brothers Melee for her new gamecube and they did not have it. I checked out the local Hastings video store and they also had used games for sale. Picked up the game she wanted for $24. It's used of course but at about half price of a new one it's worth trying.

So the point is, also check some of the other video stores out there, they may also have a good deal on a used game.

Make sure you ask if they're doing the 25% off deal. I went on a Blockbuster rampage today and found that all the stores are having the sale even if they don't have the banners/posters (in the Detroit, MI area anyway). Some Blockbusters had the 25% off games banner, some had a little table with 25% off movies.. but they all had both deals regardless. I found Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 for PS2 for $7ish, but nothing else fantastic.
