should be. one 512mb pc2700 ddr just arrived, the other is at my sister in laws, both with $25 coupon, which makes this deal smokin'!

thanks, slycat! 😀

Still alive: just ordered another stick, 2 others in over the past few weeks. You need a new email addie, though.

heh the ironic thing bout this deal is the majority of people who buy HP's are scared to death to open their PC, let alone know what RAM is..

Yes this works for SODIMMS. I bought a stick(card) of 200pin pc2100 unbuffered ram for 101.00

It's not the cheapest but I'd rather have a large company like crucial behind the ram then some fly by night ram dealer.

I called 1800-4memory and I was about to buy their 75 dollar clearance special.. I asked a little more about the ram and they said there is no lifetime on those. It's AS-IS with only a DOA for 14 day. Their guaranteed ram is $90. When asked what's the difference.. he said there is a "reason" why it's on clearance. I don't need to know thank you.

F that.. go crucial.

Thanks for info about different email addy

WHat problems do you speak of? I haven't heard of this.

I couldn't get it to work with my RAM CT276355 (for Gateway) until I did this:
1. I had to click on the link (at beging of post)
2. select a HP specific memory P/n
3. add my Gateway RAM to the cart
4. fill out all necessary info including code
5. before confirming checkout, edit HP ram that I don't want.
6. Qty = 0 click update.
7. click continue
8. re-enter code
9. finish checkout

Kinda tedious but this worked for me. $50.00 for Gateway 500 specific PC2700 Ram shipped to my door when Gateway wanted $280 for 1 stick. The sad part is not how many steps I had to go thru to get it cheap but how many people are being fooled by some slick sales man telling them that they may void their waranty by using non-Gateway parts!

I think i'm going nuts... All I have in my cart is a stick of ddr 2700 ram. bad deal....and I think crucial just upped their prices. grr 🙁 78 bux w/o coupon for 512 now

The Coupon Code you entered will drop your cart total below the $30 minimum purchase required for software purchase. Please remove the software from your cart.

same problem here

Wow! I just bought 512MB of PC2100 Crucial on July 6.
Delivered yesterday July 9.
$68.99 before the $25 discount
Today July 10 shows $74.99
Are memory prices going up or what!

I had to do the add two and delete one and reenter code like a post above says to get the $25 discount. Something like that anyway. It was acting very flakey..

I'm getting this error:

"The Coupon Code you entered will drop your cart total below the $30 minimum purchase required for software purchase. Please remove the software from your cart."

even though i'm buying a $105.99 stick of mem. Any help?

I got the same message two hours ago.

Time to look for Buffalo 512 3200 for $79 again....

This doesn't work anymore (at least for me). I followed the directions and got the $25 accepted with 512MB of HP ram and 512MB of Apple ram. Then the "back up, edit shopping cart, reenter coupon" technique fails and the coupon is rejected.

I think crucial.com's wise to this now...

So let's assume that a) the coupon is still valid, b) the prices have gone up to 77 before coupon, and c) you need memory.

This is still an excellent deal. Show me where you can get 512MB of actual name brand memory (don't show me some generic crap that happens to have micron or samsung chips...ACTUAL name brand memory) for 52 bucks sans shipping/tax.

I won't be holding my breath. 😀

How about the Kingston Ram for sale this week at Best Buy for $39.99? Every chip I saw was made by Micron Technology, so it should be about the same.....
