Sorry to hear that Miko. Saturn is like all cars, you win some you lose some. I'm sure theres a honda, ford, toyota, subara, chevy, dodge, etc... owner saying the same thing you are, then on the flip side there is another owner saying they love their car. I'm on my third Saturn, I compared it against a Honda Civic. (EX on the Honda, SL2 on the Saturn) and I still went back to Saturn. The price with the features I wanted and a 6yr/75k warranty was a far better deal than the Honda. Also the Saturn performs far better and has a better looking interior than the Civic.
So I'd say to all you anandtechers, test drive a Saturn and buy one. As for warranties there is no car in existance that I would buy without an extended warranty. If you want to save headaches get an extended warranty. Mind you I don't beat my car but I'm not totally nice to it either, every once in a while I like to gun it up the interstate entrance ramp. For me the extended warranty will definitley pay for itself.

Oh and if you like a car to handle well get a Sx2, or L300. They come with the performance tires, sport suspension and on the Sx2's, variable speed power steering. Also they come included with A/C. I got mine with ABS, side impact bags, and the power package with cruise control. Didn't get the upgraded stereo all car companies rip people off for them. Got smart this time and went to circuit city and got a new Kenwood MP3 deck.
I feel they are great American made cars. But once again Miko, this is personal prefence. If your not happy with your Saturn sell it and get another car.
