24X CDR 80MIN 700MB 50 Pack -K Hypermedia- For $9.50 + shipping

The picture and manufacturer number makes me believe that they are KHypermedia Brand CDR's. If thats the case, they are better then just the ho-humm generic garbage you see around. Funny, they list that they still carry the KHypermedia product line. Why would they not list them that way if they are KHypermedia brand. I've bought several spindles of the KHypermedia in the past and have had good luck with them.

Thanks Rapier. I contacted Outpost.com and found out that the brand is actually K Hypermedia

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Outpost.com.

These are made by Kingston Hypermedia. Please let us know if we can be
of further assistance.

Not a bad deal now. It's good if you don't live near one of the OM, OD, Staples, BB, etc. that run deals from time to time. Like I said, I've had pretty good luck with my K Hypermedia CDR's

My brother bought some of these once. He said the "Kingston" brand here wasn't related to the folks who make Kingston memory.

Additionally, he found these to be mucho-cheap discs. His were unbranded, with no top layer ... ie: the reflective layer is the top layer and the data layer!! He burned one coaster and used it as such ... it corroded!!

YMMV, or at least I'd buy the ones that have some sort of label on top.

All the ones I've bought (12x and 16x 50 pak spindles) have been silkscreen branded like the Fuji's.

I've used the 16X and 12X Hypermedia discs and I must say I've hardly had any coasters

I have used the Hypermedia cd's for a while now and really like them. I don't recall ever making a coaster with them yet.

However I just ordered 2 of these in this deal from Outpost. I immediately recognized the picture they have posted for it as the Hypermedia. After receiving it today, they are not what the picture shows. They came in just a plain spindle with no labeling whatsoever anywhere, and the cd's themself have no labeling on them. They are blank, and also don't have the frosted top coating that the Hypermedia normally have.

It is still a very good price for these, but I feel misled by Outpost.com. And wonder if they truely are Hypermedia discs.

The only thing that says its Hypermedia discs is the sales receipt.

this is pretty damn good deal. i would definitely go for it, but I still have 150 TY's to finish up. i put the K-Hypermedia's right up there with the TY's because they both use the long-dye solution.
