24x CD Burner or 16x CD-R/DVD Combo drive?

I want to buy a new CD burner as right now I'm using a friend's old 2x drive. Problem is, I can decide on whether or not I want a 24x burner or a combo drive. Seeing as how my computer is in the guest bedroom and I have a 19" monitor, I'm thinking of getting the combo drive so that guests can watch movies in the room. Problem is, I can't seem to find too much info on the Toshiba combo drive sold on Newegg.com. What would you all recommend?
 
That's great to hear. I can't seem to find if this drive has any Burnproof or other buffer underrun protection either. Anyone else?
 
yes get the cd-r/dvd combo that seems like a real good deal! I have the ricoh cd-r/dvd and love it but its just too slow compared to my lite-on 24x!
