When things like this happens, it's best to bust out monitoring and diagnostic software and run the game so you can see what's going on..

Check MSI Afterburner and CPU-Z so you can monitor your GPU and CPU clock speeds.

What performance level is your OS power options set to? If it's not high performance, then the CPU is more likely to change power states and clock speed which can cause stuttering from my experience..

Had the same issues it has to do with the newer cards boosting/decreasing their clock speeds all the time. Go back to an older card that didn't have the boost feature and it works fine.
What utter nonsense. I don't have this problem in either Crysis or Warhead, and I have a boost card (Titan).

Also monitor your card with MSI afterburner or something while playing the game you'll see the clock speeds jump all over the place.
I don't see at all. I see a solid flat line @ 967MHz, then it gradually steps down a notch at a time over several minutes as the thermal target is reached.

I already called him on his ignorance to which he got really upset and told me I wasn't adding anything to the thread.
No need to bother.
He'll just get defensive again and upset.

Surely because you guys didn't experience it like that must mean everyone else is wrong, including their charts, monitoring, and testing, surely. Funny thing is it doesn't happen when you go back to a gtx 580, nor do my clocks drop below regular speeds.
