240SX or Integra?!?

Well, I need to have another car for school and currently I have a 240SX for the job. I purchased the car for cheap and got it with an intake, exhaust, and some coilovers (all of these parts are crappy and were purchased from eGay...., I mean eBay). However, I also have a turbo kit laying around for a B-series Acura (Integra) and am thinking about trading my 240 for one. Here is the tricky part... There are pros and cons for each vehicle, so I'll go ahead and list them now.

Integra:
-Turbo'd
-~260 WHP
-I can drive in the rain without kicking the rear out...
-Looks decent
-(CON) = THEFT!

240SX:
-RWD
-Mad Drifting yO!
-Reliable
-(CON) = SLOW!

Which one would you guys choose and why?!?
 
Well, I haven't actually driven the 240 in the rain but I've taken one of my friend's s2k. It's hell..., going around corners and blipping the throttle in 1st or 2nd causes the rear end to whip out. Also, one night when he was driving, he floored it in first and shifted to second in the rain and the car seriously went sideways (I won't be doing this but it's something that I keep in mind when it comes to driving in a RWD vehicle in the rain).

Hell, the same thing happens in my Caprice which weights 5000lbs and has only 170 hp (albeit around 240 ft/lb torque). It is all about how you control your power.
 
If you dont have to pay much to get the integra, I'd say get that. I've tried driving a stock 240 and it understeers quite a bit when you're going fast.

An E46 M3 or Supra is going to be my "go-fast" car 🙂 once the summer hits again next year (have the money for one now, but I need to make sure I have enough for maint).

If you're gonna get another car for speeding purposes 😛 I'd say just stick with the 240

might be easiest to just go to honda-tech.com and sell the turbo kit.
 
The integra is a better daily driver. Gets better mpg but equals out when you pay premium for the GSR

The interiors are better built than the nissan. Other than the trunk space, and the availabilty of replaceable parts... the 240 will be a better drivers car for stock.

I'd say if you can get either with low miles I go with the cheapest manual. If you plan on modding.

If you don't plan on modding get an E36 M3

I'm going to try to convince my dad to let me get an E46 (he's not paying for it). Picking up an E36 M3 on top of that would be sweet but I can't afford to pay for both. The Integra that I am looking at are the DA's (90-93), mainly because they go for very similar prices compared to the 240.

I knew someone was going to say this xP. The 240 is a 93. I might go with a DC2 (94-01) style but what sucks is that I'll have to swap the front and rear ends because the ones on the 94-97 are weird looking (IMHO). Sigh..., I'll just have to post up the 240 and see how it goes.

Installing a turbo kit isnt all that hard, but the tuning will rape you. Are you sure you can afford that? People never think of auxiliary costs like the $2k to install and colormatch a body kit or the $3k for a good professional tuning job after the install.

Besides if you dont drive like a tard you'll be fine in the rain. WTF would you hammer it in the rain?
 
both scream boy racer... meh. waste of money. neither car has prestige or class left.. its all been riced away
 
I say pick up the M3 if you plan on modding. It's a better chassis to begin with.

Or just say screw modding and pick up a used S2k it should be as fast and handle just as good stock as both those rides modded

Hence the reason for my E46 M3 🙂. I'm going to go look at a few some time this week and see what deals I can scrounge up.

Happily, I can say that I can afford tuning and although this isn't the best alternative, I'm going to be running a Greddy eManange with the support tool (might as well use it since it's sitting beside me). I'm most likely going to have it street tuned at WOT, since it's going to be cheaper than throwing it on a dyno.

About the S2000, I've wanted one for about 3 years now, but now that I can afford one, I've lost interest (I'm weird...). S2k's are OUTSTANDING on the track in stock form, but when driving, the low end kills the car. Heck, even in the upper power band, you don't feel it as much as a 350z or something due to the low torque that it offers.

 
If you swap the engine out and put a turbo on it..

the 240sx would own that Integra.

The engine swap + turbo = cheappppppppp

Yeah, I've got a similiar car (Lincoln Town Car), it's "only" 4000 pounds with 210hp/265ft-lbs, and if you don't baby the throttle you have some fun in the rain.

tuning should not cost 3k. Assuming you do all the installation yourself correctly, dyno tuning is typically $100-$150 an hour and the shops tell you 1 hr is usually enough.
