2405 problem

My 2405 has been been randomly freaking out recently. It's hard to explain so I took some screenshots. But basically the screen gets cut in half so the bottom half still displays the destop correctly but the top half gets these vertical lines that seem to grab random colors from the desktop. The computer still functions normally and I can temporalliy fix the problem by reseting the resolution but it is really annoying and if the top half covers too much of the screen I have to restart since I cant get to display properties to reset the resolution.

Do you think the monitor is failing? or do you think it is a driver problem?

Well on the last picture it just looks like the screen is moved down. Can you go into the OSD and use the positioning controlls to move it up?

Are you overclocking your video card at all?

Exactly its almost as if the screen gets thrown downward, but still fully functional. I am overclocking my video card, but it seems to be stable. Could this be a sign of a bad overclock?

Is it hooked up via DVI? Seems to be more likely a graphics card problem, but it could also be a problem with the DVI chip inside the LCD. It just seems more likely to be video card related.

Take a printscreen screenshot. If it's your video card, the issues will often still show up when you paste it in paint (or whatever).
