2405 Dell & SLI 6800GT

Is my system going to be able to drive the native res of the Dell 24incher at the same enjoyment level that I experience on my 21" Sony CPD G560 CRT Monitor?

I saw the deal at Cosco on that bad boy and my tax return is on the way so thinking of doing it....

3000+ 64
6800GT in SLI config

I didn't think that my 7800GT SLI setup was quite enough if I maxed out everything.

I also had slow down with my 7800GTs@550/1300 when gaming at the native res with 4AA/8AF. Most games ran fine but FEAR and COD2 had some slow down. I'd say you'll definetely get slowdown with 6800GTs.

Well I couldn't hold out. I got it and am SO happy with it. Even all the negative reasons couldn't hold my desire for the monitor. I mostly play World of Warcraft and it is just butter smooth at 1920 x 1200. I tested that res out on my CRT to see how it played before I ordered. I'm planning on getting 2 of the next gen boards when they come out for the next wave of shooters. Also got an opty 165 that will be on my door today. Hoping to get it up to the 2.6+ range that I've been reading here.

No regrets. COD2/Quake 4 not very playable at this res right now.... I can deal with the softness of 1600 wide aspect which is very playable.
