2400+, KT400, and PC3200... What should I shoot for?

I've just done my first overclock with an AMD XP 2400+, 1GB of Crucial.com PC2100, and a Soltek KT400 MB. I've got from the stock 133fsb to 143. The memory has been overclocked accordingly to the system FSB by my motherboard. I've got plenty of fans (Like 7) in an aluminum case with an SLK-800 Heatsink (The big one). Right now my stress temperature is around 40 C at 143fsb. I think the actual clock is like 21xx megahertz and it shows up as a 2600+ processor. Now. my 1gb of CAS 2 pc3200 from Hardcore Cooling gets here tommorow. What should I shoot for? I know my processor is unlocked by my mother board. So should I take the multiplier down some to try and get the fsb as high as possible or what? Then do I slightly increase the Vcore voltage? Any advice on memory timings, fsb, and voltage would be appreceated. Thanks

Hmm.. well if you don't mind ditching that crucial pc2100 memory, I would get some pc3200 and shoot for a 200MHz fsb.

Can harddrives and video cards handle a 200 fsb? I'd have to really lower my multipler then to hit 200. Any caluculators out there you can use to figure all this out? Thanks

You'll need at least a 5 divider, maybe some boards have 6. The best boards have PCI/AGP locks to keep these in spec and prevent issues(Like NF2).

with my xp 2000+ tbred i hit 185fsb with amulti of 11.0, tried lowering it to 10 but still couldnt get any better fsb, and the voltage had to be up around 2.0 to hit 185, ur board prolyl has the 5/1 divider but even so when u hit 190 fsb ur looking at facing HD corruption i would shoot for 185 or so on that MB i run an a7v8x Mb btw

Running a similar setup... PC3500c2 corsair, A7V8X, 2400+..... Currently at 12.5 x 175 at stock voltage. Just going for a minor OC. Have pushed it a bit but not very stable. Need the Nforce2 chipset to stabalize the PCI & AGP as that's my issue. So down the road I go...

i dont know how u got it so high with such a high fsb and multi, btw why the 3500 board only supports 3200 i thought

unless that 2400 is stock 166fsb in that case i would shoot for 200 mine is stock 133 and ive got it up at 173/11.0 so 40mhz fsb OC and im running a gig of crucial 2700 ram, figure u can get at least a 40fsb OC your looking at 200fsb easily, just the whole HD corruption problem when u run your pci/agp bus to far out of spec, id say 192 thats with a 1/5 divider, with 1/6 you might hit 200
