240 FPS...impressions

Attached is a page with some impressions of a 240 FPS demonstration of Gran tourismo. i always thought there were diminishing returns after 75-90 FPS, but apparently, the 240 FPS demo felt very lifelike. I've seen a single PS3 running on an NEC 2k projector on a 28 ft screen. It was pretty impressive. Maybe I DO need an SLI board for GTR2.

My impression on that is that it probably looked amazing to watch, but the input lag on that has got to be monstrous, since they basically just said it's 4 PS3's rendering in AFR.

Hmm.. I like the quad HD display more. Maybe they can actually combat aliasing a bit!

I'd like to see what kind of interconnect was used to carry a 240hz video signal!

That's pretty impressive. I wonder how they got each ps3 to show only 1/4 of the image...
