I normally picked these up for <20 at BB on turket day sale. Sucks that it wasn't out this year till after BF :/

Anyways, why buy it when you get get the actual tv shows through torrents without commercials?

I picked up seasons 2-4 at Target post-T wknd for $16 each, (along w about 4 Simpsons seasons at $16)

err... do you really need to ask this question?

besides the obvious, i want to give support to Fox for making such a great show and give my money to buying this dvd.

a lot of times (not sure about this one) dvd's have extras that you can't get from just downloading an episode.

I think that is really a gray area. It's not cable, its a channel going over the airwaves. 2, if you tape a show and share it with someone is that illegal? If it were HBO or something that would be different. It's just like TIVO.
 
yeah. i see where your coming from. i guess when you think about TIVO and "recording on tape" (lol) it puts it into perspective.

i guess the issue for me is, if it's for sale in dvd form, then it should be illegal to d/l since it's available for you to purchase... but that's just my perspective.

and i know it gets even stranger since a lot of tv networks these days are offering whole episodes off their website so...

yeah, i guess it really is gray...

but as i said before, i love 24 and i own seasons 1-3 so adding 5 would be nice to my collection! 🙂
 
my order shipped today, but they cancelled my order on the filler book due to no stock. Thing is they refunded part of my money for that, and it still let me keep the $20 discount using google checkout, so I ended up paying $30 shipped for the DVD. Still not a bad deal, but not as good as getting a free item either.
