Found this while I was looking for some hard drive coolers. Needless to say I picked up a couple.

Shipping was kind of high ($7 for 6 of them to SE Wisconsin), but still a good deal IMHO.

I was wondering, are pull tabs necessary? I'm afraid i'll break the cables when i try to take them out.

if the cable is well made, the pulltab reduces the chance of bending pins or damaging the ribbon. Some cheap cables have pulltabs that can pull apart the plastic connector housing - I avoid those.

Nice! I bought 4 of the IDE cables at $2.50 each and 2 FDD cables at $3.49 each. Shippng was $7, but considering how much these usually are, this is still a good deal. Thanks!

Why on earth would anyone need a vibrating tongue thingie ;)?

Dunno, but i picked up 7 of these. Nice price for that many.

Now i have to find that many hard drives X 2

INSTRUCTIONS:
Place the bar with the engine in the hole of your tongue. Screw the battery counter clockwise until the engine starts working.

Man... These companies are all starting to look pretty generic in pricing.

SVC has the same thing, $2.50, also floppy cables were $1.70ish (too lazy to go back and check).

I don't know guys. IDE Specs only allow for 18 inch cables. All these 24 inch ones are "out of spec". Unless they put some shielding on them I wouldn't trust them.

hmm, I've been using a 24" IDE round cable for past year now, no "data loss" or any of that BS here.

$2.50 each is damn cheap. :)

This site is great. I ordered something from them and showed up 1 day later (in VA). Awesome site, with amazing prices.

I would seriously warn everyone away from bestbyte.net

They are the only company I have EVER, EVER! left a bad reseller ratings for.

I bought a shim from them for an athlon XP, they sent it too me, and it did not fit, it was not cut for an XP. I wrote to them and told them, and they told me it wasn't their problem. I bugged them a little (VERY politley) and they told me if I could contact the company that made it if I really wanted to, and that they werent going to do anything about it.

So, they sold me a product that was falsley advertised as something that it was not, and then told me to basically shove it up my a$$.

So, I avoid bestbyte like the plague.

I just got 5 cables from SVC and 2 of them are bad.
Both of these cables only occasionally see my second drive.
With all my other cables the drive is fine.
It completely froze my system twice when my RAID broke because of the cable.
It's really not worth my time for the $5, but it sucks.
I am just glad I bought a few extra.
I have never had an issue with anything else I have purchased from SVC.
