Medical records are just a standard campaign tool that is used every election cycle. I guarantee you in 2008 there will be a few days of talk about how 'XXX' hasn't released his/her medical records. Meh.

McCain is the only candidate I can think of in recent memory where the release of his medical records has been a legitimate concern, considering his history of cancer, torture, etc.

everyone has their right to privacy, i'd agree with that. and honestly, i hadn't heard about this issue until this thread came up. But now Im curious as to why she hasnt disclosed when everyone else has. Also is this required, or is it something candidates are expected to disclose voluntarily? Have all candidates in previous elections disclosed their medical records?

I think the bolded really backs up my case about releasing medical records means nothing. If you didnt know, it didnt matter to you.

And i dont know of any requirement of the candidates to release their records.

Personally the only records I find worth discussing are their voting, tax, and policy records.
Tax is voluntary and the only reason I like to look at them is to see how much they donate to charity and what tax rate they are paying. Like to know if a politician follows his own rhetoric concerning giving to the poor and paying their fair share in taxes.
