Tried the 23.10's, and didn't notice a marked difference in 3dmark2001 scores vs. 22.80 detonators.

I switched back to 22.80's as the 23.10's were unstable on my system. Several times, the drivers crashed back to WinXP standard VGA drivers.

Theres no reason to disable V-Sync, your comp still pushes the extra fps.

That reasoning is wrong on so many levels that I'm not even going to bother refuting it.

Anyone run Unreal or Unreal Tournament with these?

Yes - they run fine except for the vsync issue as noted above.

Tried it out..no performance increases over 22.80s in 3dmark2k1, Q3, or RTCW so I'm back to 22.80s for now.

Has anybody tried these out with RTCW? Is that texture shimmering that was in the 22.80 drivers still there? I switched back to the 22.50 drivers, because the shimmering in the 22.80 drivers was so annoying. BTW I'm using XP Pro, but the shimmering was also present in Win2k Pro w/the 22.80 drivers.

Thanks tates. Now i just gotta figure out which ones are the best for me.

with a lot of detanators if i alt-tab out of halflife and try to go back it will bluescreen for me.

Also another question, with games based on the q3 engine (quake3 and rtcw mainly) is there a way to alt-tab back to the desktop?

When i run detanator destroyer i get a weird error...

it says it deletes nv4.inf and nv3.inf but then in an errorwindow it says "Access violation at address 77F51C96 in module 'ntdll.dll'. Write of address 00000010.

What does this mean? did it still "Destroy" my detanators?

the 23.1's were not any better than the 22.5's on my system, and seemed a little "loopie". i didn't get any crashes, or anything overt, but i was glad when i rolled back to the 22.5's (gotta love WinXP's driver rollback). anyone else have an odd feeling with those drivers? images, even on the desktop, just seemed weird, but like i said, there weren't any actual artifacts or anything of the like.

Weston,

Looks like the Det Destroyer is for Win9x & WinMe. I think your main rig (you've got 6:Q) is running WinXP? If so, that maybe why you're getting an error message. Try removing them through the Control Panel, add/remove programs, Nvidia Drivers.

Ah okay thanks again Tate. I thought it worked for both 9x and 2k/xp but i guess not. I am upgraded to 23.10 but have not gotten the chance to test em out in games!
