What happens if you simply open the bookmarks.html file using Dolphin?

I used to use Dolphin but went back to Opera so I can't test it but that would be the first thing to try.

Edit: What does Dolphin's bookmark file look like (e.g. format/extention) and where is it saved? If Dolphin's bookmark is also .html and saved somewhere, maybe you can swap that with the Firefox bookmark.

Sorry, perhaps I am giving you a pointless advice. hopefully others with more intimate relationship with Dolphin will chime in.
