So for the very first time in my life I have decided to go with an LCD. Hearing all the great things about them, I just had to get one for myself. After getting one, I was really impressed with the overall performance of this LCD. The games look even better on a widescreen display, images look crisp and I have a TON more screen real estate!!!
HOWEVER!!!! There is one severe issue that I really have with this LCD. And that's the 60hz plus 60FPS cap issue that is on most of my games. This really puts a downer on this LCD. I'm a huge UT2K4 player, I have always played this game on constant 90FPS for years. I have tried my best to play at 60fps but I just can't. My shots are totally off compared to when I was playing at 90fps. I practically miss every time now. Now I know what most of you are thinking. HOW CAN THIS GUY TELL THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 60 AND 90FPS!!! Well, I guess it depends on the person but I definitely can see a difference between the two. And its putting a damper in my game playing.
Now is this pretty much it with LCDs? Am I stuck with 60fps forever? Or is there a fix somewhere that can be applied to display the full frame rate of my games? I'm pretty new to this LCD department so excuse my basic knowledge of it. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give!
