220 to 110volts

I am currently in europe that uses 220volts. I brought a transformer with me that converts 220 to 110. Everytime I plug in the 120v toaster oven to the transformer it blows the transformer fuse. What am I doing wrong?
 
What's the transformer rated at? Toaster is probably drawing to much current what's the fuse rated at?
 
Sometimes its hard to break a relationship with that certain special toaster.

This is hilarious. I love the vision of somebody plugging in a 1050watt toaster to a 100 watt circuit and it keeps going poof. So funny. Thank you OP 😀
That whole conversion thing is rather fascinating. Especially the reasons why countries adopted their current standards.
