220 to 110volts

I am currently in europe that uses 220volts. I brought a transformer with me that converts 220 to 110. Everytime I plug in the 120v toaster oven to the transformer it blows the transformer fuse. What am I doing wrong?

It is 100w transformer and the toaster oven is 1050w. I think I had a dumb moment there. Didnt realize it.

That whole conversion thing is rather fascinating. Especially the reasons why countries adopted their current standards.
