I just moved into a place that already has dish network, but I don't have a TV so I'm looking for an LCD that is 22 inches, and has lots of inputs so I can connect it up to the dish network box. I'm also planning on gaming with monitor, so a low response time is required too. I'm not sure if this is possible in the 22 inch range, and if not please suggest alternatives. I'd prefer not to spend more than $400, and less if at all possible. I'll be going to a few stores tonight to check out what they have but any input is appreciated. Thanks!

Any 22 inch monitor is gunna most likely be a TN panel, which is far inferior to the (A)S-IPS panel of the NEC. Strictly speaking monitors, if you want a 22 inch screen for under 400 dollars, you're going to be hard pressed to find one with component/HDMI inputs that has a good panel like the NEC monitor.

I honestly can't recommend anything, as I don't keep up with what are good new monitors, but the panel types for 22 inchers are what I've seen from experience.

Good luck finding a good monitor though.

There's a 22" WS panel made by sceptre that has an HDMI connector, vga and another DVI. It is a TN panel as well and I think people were having trouble with the DVI connector failing, possibly due to heat. Costco has it for like $230 though.

What about a good 24" monitor that would have these features? I want something that will last me a long time. I'm upgrading my entire rig which has lasted me 5 years, but I'm starting to worry about it dying.
