I've been looking at the PMR-30 for awhile now, eventually I will pull.... the trigger on buying one. 30 rounds of 22WMR? Very nice, but it is a shame the ammo costs so much more than 22LR. Seems out of line for a little longer shell and a little powder, but then again not many people buy that cartridge.

I personally would (and did) go with the Browning Buckmark. It felt like a better handgun to me, and shoots like a dream. I have had it for about 20 years now and I don't know how many thousand rounds, and it is as smooth and accurate now as the day I bought it.

Yeah... I've held a few different ones and the Buckmark felt the best, but has the pricetag to match as well. If I could find a good deal on one I'd jump but they seem to hold their price. I'll check the local shop today most likely to be sure, but I don't expect to find what I want for under $400.

Well, every single gun maker has a 1911 variant pretty much so you'll have to be more specific.

Well went to the shop today. They didn't have any Brownings whatsoever. They did have a Ruger Mark 3 60th anniversary edition with a wider grip that felt a lot better than their other thin grip models. Was nearly 400 though.

They also had Beretta U22 Neos which I believe is the one my friend just bought. Could be okay but who knows. I held the Sig Mosquito and liked the feel. It was solid and felt like a real gun, where most of the other guns are designed to look and feel kind of thin and toyish.

If it shoots well and is the best price, then I don't really care. I don't plan on fucking it so I'm not terribly concerned with the appearance.

I'm more of a revolver type of guy, don't know why. But can't wait for the ruger sp101 .22 to come out! I have the same model in .357

There's also a S&W 22A that people at work say is good. At $200 it's hard to say no to that, even if it's a little picky on ammo (which apparently it's not).
