Supply is low with these, almost no one carries them.

I personally would (and did) go with the Browning Buckmark. It felt like a better handgun to me, and shoots like a dream. I have had it for about 20 years now and I don't know how many thousand rounds, and it is as smooth and accurate now as the day I bought it.
Anyone like the 1911 .22s or the conversion kits?
Yeah... I've held a few different ones and the Buckmark felt the best, but has the pricetag to match as well. If I could find a good deal on one I'd jump but they seem to hold their price. I'll check the local shop today most likely to be sure, but I don't expect to find what I want for under $400.
If you aren't opposed to buying online (and have an FFL locally who won't bend you over on a transfer fee) - Bud's has a Buckmark Camper for $312 shipped (cash price). http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/145/products_id/16940
Based on my experience, you will definitely get your money's worth over time.
Get a Ruger Mark 3 and when you feel like pissing away your lifes savings buy some Volksqaurtsen mods.
The Beretta Neos is fucking ugly as shit.
Just sayin
