I'm from MA and have never heard of it...

I've lived here in CT for nearly 10 years and didn't hear about it until a couple years ago. It's a big fair with 6 of the NE states getting together. Concerts, circus acts, deep fried Oreos/cheesecake/twinkies/pickles, food samples from each of the states (Maine baker, Vermont blueberry pie, etc.), farm and circus animals, all kinds of booths...it's basically a regular fair x 6 states with a lot of the local culture involved.
