2180 Temps?

Currently my Asus PQ5 Pro (506 bios) is reporting my temps for the 2180 at 44 after 24 hours idle. I'm cooling it with a Arctic Freezer 7 with stock thermal paste.

That seems rather high to me...

i run lower than that with a stock copper core intel hsf (not the all alum one that comes with the chip, but the one that came with a 6750) oc's to 2.5ghz...

did u get a booger under the hsf when installing it?

full load temp will be more telling...

After reading some other threads here, I downloaded and ran CoreTemp. It is coming back with temps around 28 or so.

Are the onboard sensors of the Asus really that inaccurate?

(BTW I lol'd @ the booger comment 😀 )

Even at 44C, the chip should be fine.
