Based on the assembled OC summaries I've seen by stepping, that makes sense.

2800mhz and stable is one serious OC. Wow! Is that water cooling or something else?

Shimmishim, thanks!

this was with refrigeration cooling.......should also note with this kind of cooling the overclock was achieved at 1.87 volts

hmm... jen... i put back my old taisol cgk760192 (copper insert) .... and it's idling at 34C now 🙂 at default voltage...

ii'm gonna see how high i can get it with this heatsink...

but it's peaking at 40C at 100% load... hmm...

okay...

well looks like this heatsink likes this processor a lot better! and my board is happy 🙂

right now... it's priming away ... 46C full load

13 x 166 at default voltage :Q

WCPUID shows 2170

wonder if the temps would lower with my slk-800

ok ok... i'm gonna try a higher mult now

wish me luck!

Does anyone know if they're making the 2100+ tbred b in retail version? I live in Canada and seen on a site that they just got stock of 2100 retails in yesterday and phoned and asked if they were tbred's and she checked and said it was. What chance is it being the right cpu? I ordered one right away so if it's bogus i'd like to know so I can cancel.

you asked if they were tbreds...

you need to ask if they're tbred b's 🙂

umm... ask them to pull it out of the box and read the stepping to you..

AIUHB!!! is what you're looking for on the second line... or
DUT3C on the first line...

i did ask if they were tbred b's, and from my understanding they weren't making tbred A's anymore anyway. I just seen newegg has the retail now too so maybe this is the real thing. Hope so.

Think twice... my 0303 (green) won't do anything better than 13x166.
You should wait for some o/c information about the retail 2100+ before buying one.

I've determined the problem to be my heatsink and fan...

for some reason this brown 0302 2100+ doesn't like the slk-800... it fails prime at 13x166 after the 1st loop...

it really likes this taisol one though...

guess i'll keep this one even tough someone wanted to buy it...

wonder how much lower i could get my 1700+ temp... me ponders....

Hello, I have 2 questions, and if someone can help I would appreciate it greatly.

1, where can I get prime95 and the memory tester?

2, How large is the XP professional SP1 package supposed to be?

thanks

1. For All Your Testing Needs

2. 50MB? Not sure, haven't downloaded thru Windoze Update in a long time. Run a google search and you should be able to find an executable version of SP1.

Rad Davy, how is that AIUHB 0303 coming along ?
I have my green 0303 running at 166 X 14 with a 1.75 vcore.
Waiting for my new memory, I'm using pc2100 now, can't wait
to see what it can really do.

That's a nice OC!!! I hope to obtain 2.2Ghz+ from mine as well. I haven't tried mine yet. I orderd a 512Mb stick of Corsair PC3200 this morning. I might be able to test it this weekend if the memory comes in. What temps are you getting at that speed?

yay!

i'm doing okay with this thing now...

51C full load...

2280 (13 x 175) @ 1.725V

not too bad...

🙂

i think this chip has more head room...

i ordered a 80 to 60 mm fan attachment because this slk-800 REALLY doesn't like my cpu...
