Preach brother. I'm a long time 880AM listener although I tend to tune in Bloomberg 1130AM on trading days. But sometimes I blow them off for one of the local college stations.

Still chilling to this day watching that footage. It's hard to describe the feeling I had, kind of a anxiousness. Just crazy to see it all unfold really. It was so much to take in, and realize what was going on and so many unanswered questions at the time. I was in grade 10 and in school, so I saw it all after I got home and immediately went downstairs to turn on the TV.

Actually just realized my youngest nephew is in grade 10 now, crazy how the time goes by. I was his age when it happened.

I worked in Tower Two for nine years. Was there for the truck bomb attack on Feb. 26, 1993.

Refused to leave until I knew our receptionist had been safely evacuated. She was wheelchair bound and we were good friends.

Got sooty faces going down the stairs. Six folks dead. But it was nothing compared to what happened on 9-11.

Bless the memories of those who were lost.

The 1993 truck-bombing was a wake-up call that seemingly nobody really heard.... security at the WTC itself was stepped up some but that was about it.

I was a courier mainly in Manhattan at the time and as I recall security was EXTREMELY lax prior to the first attack. (fortunately I happened to be on vacation skiing in Tahoe when it happened)

To illustrate this, the loading dock area where the bombing took place was in theory "secured" but it was effectively wide-open 24/7. We used to park our trucks down there and go out drinking all night. (walking right past the often empty "security" booth and down the ramp)

Craziest/scariest thing about 1993 was that if Eyad Ismoil had understood directions properly and simply parked the bomb-truck facing the opposite direction up against a primary-support pillar instead of directing the blast into an open area they might well have been successful bringing the towers down.
