I'm looking or a nice 21" Monitor. I have no clue what's good, what's not. The problem is, I only have around $350 total to spend, and was wondering if buying refurb or used off a reputable seller would be a good idea, as long as there are no major flaws?? Of course it MUST be a flatscreen (not lcd), I've used the non-flats for too long and am fed-up with this shit.

Can anyone recommend some decent brands or where I can get them online? any help would be awesome. Dell's no shipping deal ends tonight but the only 21"ers they have are $599+

thanks alot for any help,
Mike-

There was a post in hot deal sectoion about refurb monitors, i think it was Merkotech.com or something, i can't remember. They had 21" dell refurgs p1110 for like $269 or something. Also came with a 1 year warranty, most expensive one was the G500, $350 or something.

I have seen several writeups that the F980 Eizo is the best monitor ever made. The F930 is the previous model. The focus even in the corners is as sharp as I have ever seen. It probably would be unsatisfactory from your point of view as it has an invar shadow mask tube and is slightly curved. For me it is perfect for my new CAD station. By the way, these things cost almost $1800 new.
